Make the contact fields REQUIRED.

Do you want to require certain pieces of information when someone contacts you? When you are setting up your Contactize form, you can now make your custom fields and routes required. If your visitor doesn’t fill it out, they won’t be able to submit it to you.

Of course, you’ll want to use this feature sparingly. After all, you really want to make it simple for your visitors to contact you! But, if you run into that situation where you just need to require a piece of info, Contactize has you covered.

Customize Your Contact Form’s Text

Did you know EVERY bit of text on your contact form is easily customizable?

Sign into your account and go to the Setup – Contact form page. Scroll down to the “Contact form text” section and update away! This is a great feature if you want to add a little spice to your form or if you want the language to better match the flavor of your site.

Or, you can use a different language altogether. In fact, since Contactize contact forms support international Unicode using the UTF-8 character set, your contact form can be displayed in over 650 languages.

Manage High Volume by Categorizing

Do you receive lots of email contacts from your website contact form? When you start receiving a certain amount of email, you begin wondering if there’s an easier way to manage all the email than just having it all dump into your inbox. One simple but effective change you can make is to have your emails automatically categorized based on what type of contact they are.

For example, if you receive both sales and support contacts, or if you have an upcoming show or product that might generate contacts you want to respond to more quickly, the easy solution is to add another field to your contact form. In addition to entering their email address and a message, visitors could give you more information… like a radio button with the labels “Sales” and “Support”, or a drop-down select box with the names of upcoming shows. Contactize allows you to add these custom contact form fields easily. In fact, Contactize allows you to add as many text, radio, select or checkbox fields as you like. This allows you to gather all sorts of specific information from your visitors.

Then (and this is where the powerful part comes in) you can add rules to your email client to handle these emails differently. For example, you could use GMail’s filter feature to tag email messages that have your form field words in them–or to even move them to another folder.
